Oh my!!
Hi, Everyone!

I had theeeeee best day last Friday.  We had our first bi-annual Downline Awards Luncheon.  The best part (though the lunch and dessert were divine!) was just having time to visit!  My team is made up of one of my SOS Stamp Club Members, 3 AGOV AM Stampers, 1 AGOV PM Stampers, 1 of my Titusville Art League Stampers, and, of course, my friend, Linda in South Carolina!

I am just sorry that EVERYONE was not able to attend because we would have had twice the fun!  We met at the Shoppes of Viera Pizza Gallery, where we enjoyed a wonderful pizza, salad, pasta, soup and garlic know lunch.  (My mouth is watering for it as I type!)

We gave out awards and walked over to the Take A Bite Cupcake Shoppe for our delicious dessert.

Cute paper handbags with Watercolor Thank You Stamps!

Here's our little "briefcase" with materials to make for cards and envelopes.  Thank you, Becky Roberts from Inking Idaho, for your continuing inspiration!!  See more of Becky's fabulousness at http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com/  This girl never runs out of amazing creativity!!
Godiva Chocolate, of course!

Our award winners for this 2-Quarter period were:

Sales--Donna LaRochelle
Recruiting--Linda Williamson

Each will receive one of the Create, Share, Inspire Stampin' Up Bracelets.
Many thanks to all for your help, inspiration, support and just making everything more fun!!

Our next awards luncheon will take place in December!!
I hope to see you all there!!

Cardmaking With Traveler, World Map and Kissing Technique

Hello, Stampers!

We used a little of the new and old today to make the 2 fun cards that the Art Gallery stampers made on Monday.

We used the Watercolor Wash background stamp with Marina Mist on a Whisper White background, spritzed it a little and voila!  We then added the World Map image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Our base is So Saffron and our frame is Marina Mist.

We stamped our 3 Traveler images with Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and fussy-cut them.  We hand notched our 3 banners, made from the Subtles Color Collections Stack.  (I love, love, love the new patterns!!)  The blue and yellow accents were created by coloring the new White Perfect Accents with Blendabilities.  They dry very quickly and you have a host of colors from which to choose.  That's why I kept my Blendabilities!!

Great job, both classes of Art Gallery classes.  You are always a joy to me!!
I lifted the next design pretty directly from our Demo Magazine, Stampin' Success, to try the "kissing technique" with my classes.  How fun to turn a plain stamp into any number of different patterns.  We just inked up our patterned stamps from "I Think You're Great" and "kissed" them with the solid heart stamp from "Perfect Pennants".  Our color palette used the new In-Colors, Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon!  So many pretty accessories from which to choose.  The new sheer ribbons look so nice in the Scalloped Top Punch!

Thank you for stopping by!!  Happy stampin'!!

Donuts and Timeless Elegance

Hi, Stampers!!

Yesterday was jam-packed with fun and fabulous cardmaking!  Thank you, Art Gallery Stampers!!

First we made these adorable cards using the Sprinkles on Top stamp set with our main color palette of Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.  Perfect colors to make our card front pop!

News Flash!!  You can use your Blendabilities (retired) to color the new White Perfect Accents any color you wish!  (p. 161)  Donut is the magic word to email me for a prize if you're first.  We used the medium Cherry Cobbler pen to color ours!  (Permanent Sharpies work too!!)  How cute are these?
We then made a beautiful elegant card using the new Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper!  As soon as I saw it, I knew that I wanted to make this card.  We used Brushed Gold paper to frame our DSP and our sentiment (I am so sad--I thought this was still available but it is retired!  Darn!)

Set against the Basic Black card base it is really dramatic!  A little sponging with Tip Top Taupe on the message continues the vintage look of the beautiful paper.  The new metal rimmed pearls are just the right elegant touch!!

Have a wonderful and creative day!!

Stampin' Hugs!

Congratulations To One of Our Younger Stampers!

Hi, Stampers!

One of our stampers may be from the younger set but as a 10 year -old, Aubrey is quite accomplished, not only stamping but this talented and motivated young lady was honored this year for her citizenship and her academic and literary accomplishments.

Pictured are Aubrey's awards for her original book.  I love that the book she has written and illustrated is titled, "Girls Can Fish Too, a Guide to Florida Saltwater Fishing".  Yay, girls!!!

Aubrey's book is so impressive--the art, the knowledge!  Wow!  Evidently others were impressed too, as you see her awards for exemplary writing and craftmanship, as well as quality literature.  We're proud of you, Aubrey!  Your book is publisher-worthy!  Congratulations for aiming high!

Hi, Stampers!

It's time to catch up!  Life is good and busy!!  Lots of workshops, lots of fitness classes and lots of fun!!

First of all, laaaaast week's cards!  The first card I cased from my sister-in-law, Cindy!  I fell in love with her design and re-created it using the new Neutrals Color Collection stack (pg. 144).  I just love all of those beautiful neutral tones.  A little embossing with Decorative Dots and a few punches and Voila!!  A fun, pretty and really rather simple card.  Thank you, Cindy!!

Our second card featured the new stamp set, You've Got This, a lovely 2-step floral!  We used the new, yummy Mint Macaron cardstock for our base and for our stamp pad.  When I was preparing to make the prototype for our card, I realized that I did not yet have my shipment of new DSP's but I did have the new Envelope papers and the Mint Macaron Stripes and Woodgrain patterns were perfect!! A touch of the new, sheer Mint Macaron ribbon and there you are!  So pretty!!

More to come!!  Happy Stampin'!!

Neat and Easy Bokeh and Rubber Band Backgrounds!

Hi, Stampers!

Thank you for stopping by!!!!  We had a fun time this past Monday at the Gallery, replicating some card ideas that I got from my friend, Linda Williamson, a fellow Stampin' Up Demo in South Carolina.  Her cards are always clean so perfectly neat.  But.....Linda does not spare the layers.  That little bit of the white frame showing in the Bokeh card really makes it pop!

A word about our background.  We used sponges and ink pads rather than, aquapens and re-inkers.  I love both techniques but with a total of 16 stampers I opted  for the Island Indigo and Night of Navy stamp pads!  The template is made by using Circles framelits on a 4x5 piece of a Window Sheet.  Thank you for the inspiration, Linda!!  We made our circles with sponge daubers and a Whisper White Craft Stamp Pad.  It lightens as it dries, giving you a beautiful background design and everyone's background is different!!

We also used Linda's idea of adding a strip of vellum, embossed with Whisper White for our sentiment.  Very pretty!

The rubber band stamping was so fun and easy peasy!!  We masked off our background with post-its and stamped with Early Espresso and our acrylic block that was wrapped with rubber bands.  We then sponged the area with (goodbye, our friend) the Pistachio Pudding stamp pad.  Our base is what is left of my Pistachio cardstock!  We sent it off in style, I think!

Give these two techniques a try!!
Happy Stampin'!!

Patriotic Shaker Card and In this Together

Hi, Stampers!!

Lots happening here at The Oasis and at our stamping venues around the county!

Before we headed up to Hilton Head to spend time with friends and family, we had a fun couple of classes at the Art Gallery.  It was so fun to see Joan and Debby in our afternoon class.

We made this cute and fun shaker card that I cased from Rachel Tessman at www.stampyourartout.com  I love it and my students were amazed at how much easier it is than it looks.  Thank you, Rachel!!

We also went back to our childhood to color with our Stamp 'n Write Markers.  We are clinging to our Blendabilities too, especially for skin tones.  I had seen Jamilla Ivits' card using Washi Tape and just had to share with my stampers.  You can see more of Jamilla's beautiful work HERE

Enjoy some pictures of our work!
