"From the Herd" and Pink Summer Silhouettes Card Making Magic

Hi, Gals!

I know lots of folks are wishing for a little summer at this point and time.  Finally, here in Florida, it has gotten a little more Florida-like but it looks as though there is no relief in sight to our north.  Spring will be very welcome to all of our friends and relatives in the northern climes!

This past Monday we had two fun card making classes at the Gallery, where we created a pretty Easter card and a fun birthday card.  Though the Easter card is my creation, the From the Herd card is from my friend and fellow Demo, Linda Williamson.  I had made two of these cards back a few months, laboriously water coloring all of the cute creatures.  When I saw Linda's creation it was like "Eureka"!  So clean and cute, with just enough color to make the images "pop"!  Thank you, Linda!!

See the supply list used to create the cards at the bottom of the post.  Also watch for an exciting post about 4 more more free Sale-A-Bration products that will be added for the month of March!  I can't wait to get them!!

(Click on the photos to enlarge them.
How cute are these??????  Notice the bit of Stacked With Love Designer Papers on the left hand side?  I just love the expressions and they make e giggle every time I look at them!!
Pretty and ready for spring, don't you think?  We have found the perfect way to get those pesky small bits out of intricate framelits.  We placed a portion of a used dryer sheet on the cutting plate, and then we layered the DSP or Cardstock, then a piece of parchment, the framelit and then the second cutting plate.  Voila!!  Nothing stuck in the framelit AND all of the pesky bits just fell out!  This also left us with a pretty parchment butterfly image that can be stapled to the original for even more whimsy!

Several of my very multi-talented stampers shared projects with us.  Sharon brought a beautiful card with a beautifully layered origami center.  I'm sorry that my photography did not do it justice!  I love black and white and this card is so incredibly elegant.  Good job, Sharon!

Cyndi, our resident "Tangler" brought her latest creation, an adorable manatee.  It has been fun to watch Cyndi develop her tangling skills--all since she began in January!  Love it, Cyndi and keep up the great work!!  (So sorry for the shadows and my "pinky"!!)

Berry Basket Fun

Hello, Stampers!

I just wanted to share the super-easy Berry Baskets that I've been making for my DDL (Dear Downline LOL)!  I added coordinating notepads, post-its, a caramel chocolate in the gift card holder (also a fabulous framelit) and a package of Tic-Tacs.

I think I've learned to line DSP baskets with coordinating cardstock if the basket is going to hold multiple or heavier items.

I can't wait to find an excuse to make more of these!!  You'll find a supply list at the end of the message.

Totally cute, aren't they.  Perfect for Easter, I'm thinking!!
Happy Stampin'!!

The Luck O' the Irish and a Botanical Card Making Class

Hello, Stamping Friends!

Thank you for leaving comments!  I appreciate them so much!!

Drum Roll Please!!!!   First off, congratulations to Kathy P. and Colette for winning this week's blog candy.  Each will have a choice of TIEF folder from my Prize Box!  They found the magic words and emailed "moon lake" to me.

Fun times this week with our St. Patrick's Day shaker card.  I love the sentiment stamp, a cherished retired wood stamp and the fun flat shaker.  There is a list of products used below.

Next, we made this pretty botanical card using the Butterfly Basics stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.  I used ideas from stamping friends, Linda and Gwen, but ended up with no room for the butterfly framelit.  No worries, we'll be using the butterfly framelit soon!  We sponged the edges of the sentiment and card front, as well as the inside sentiment card.

You can order these items in my online store!  Remember to email me if you select "no contact" so that I can give you perks for free merchandise and give you quality service, not to mention a big "thank you"!!
I do what I love and you can too!!  Join my team and you'll receive 2 free Sale-A-Bration items or one of the beautiful Occasions Kits (see page 22 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure) and $125 in beautiful products for $99!  Email me at

Covering the County--Titusville Art League and Cocoa Beach Library Classes!

Hi, Everyone!

I say this often but I AM a lucky girl!  I get to have classes with wonderful gals from one end of the county to the other!!  In addition to my Monday Art Gallery Cards classes, I travel to Titusville twice a month for fun classes there.  One Wednesday a month I have been going to the Cocoa Beach Library to make cards with the Central Brevard Gals.  And don't forget my SOS stampers that come to my home (The Stamping Oasis) once a month!

I am fortunate to get to use beautiful spaces for classes and to keep meeting more and more wonderful ladies that share my love for card making!

My thanks to all for your making our classes fun and successful!

Here are some of our recent pretties!

This is a CASE from my friend, Linda!  I just love it!!

This is Linda's design too!  Thank you, girlfriend!!
I had planned to use Blendabilities or aquawriters and color this Moon Lake iage but I decided upon a monochromatic look.  A template made with scallop circle punches let me sponge the gathering clouds in the picture.  I think it's time for some blog candy so if you are first to email moon lake to me, you win.
I love this stamp set, World of Dreams.  So sweet and peaceful, don't you think?

Have a happy stampin' and creative week!!

Guest Stampers and Thank You, Blog Visitors!

Hello, Stampers!

I just spoke with my brother and sister-in-law who live in Ohio and they are having a whiteout blizzard!  They will have a wind chill of -32 degrees tonight.  Not a good Valentine date night out for sure!!  Well they are wise and will be coming to visit us here in Florida in March!  It will be good to have an extra stamping and Zumba buddy!

I'm featuring a couple of really nice cards created by two of my stamping friends.  One is a thank you note from Ellen's dachshund, Autumn, thanking me for a a doggie toy!  I love doggies and I love Ellen's cards!!!  (Autumn and her mommy both speak/bark French, by the way!)

The second is a gorgeous (as always) valentine from Jane.  Her cards are always just exquisite and this tone on tone card is no exception.  Don't you love the details!!

When I added my live traffic feed widget I had no idea that I'd have visitors from the UK, Middle East, all over the US and a few hours ago, the Phillipines!  I LOVE that you visit my blog and would love to have you as a regular visitor or "blog pal".  Please just leave a "hello" in the comment section whether you are from near or far!  I always promise to ship prizes ANYWHERE when I give out Blog Candy, so international visitors, I value your visits and invite you to comment!

A Pretty Gift, A Little Tangle, and The Rule of 3's and Card Making!

Hi, Stampers!

I decided to add a small (2"x2") tangle on one of this week's Black/White cards!  I have not achieved granddaughter Riley's or stamp friend Cyndi's expertise, but I think we all experienced the calming quiet of a little Zen Tangling.  The creations looked great with our "Back to Black" DSP starburst card.  Good job, stampers!!
We then made a much less complicated card with the World of Dreams stamp set and a few punches (square and postage).  We used Memento Tuxedo Black ink for both projects!  I'm loving that stamp pad!

Bea, one of my fabulous and creative stampers, gave me this lovely valentine tin.  Don't you love it?  Just perfect for a few valentine treats, like I found inside.  Thank you, Bea!

Have a wonderful day and don't forget to check out the Weekly Deals for this week up above!

Happy Stampin'!

Life After Leadership! Inspiration From Linda!

Hello, Stampers!

Back from Leadership and ready to get back to some card making fun!  So much inspiration!  Linda and I had a fabulous time but we want to save an entire row of seats for our team at the next event--like so many were doing at Leadership!  No matter!  We had great seats for everything!

Tips for Blackberry Bliss and Other Juicy Ink Pads!
I case'd two of Linda's projects for this Monday's Art Gallery Cards classes.  We had a great time making both designs but we ended up pretty inky!  I learned a lot (Too bad it took two classes for me to learn!  :-)) about Blackberry Bliss Ink.  The pad is soooo juicy that instead of "bunny-hopping" 3 times, our usual MO, gentle, gentle tapping of the stamp in one of the corners will help to avoid an inky mess on the block!  Thereafter, if you're using the same stamp, tap (oh so gently) one time and the stamp and block will not be overly-inked.  Cleaning many stamps for two classes left me with the inkiest fingers of all though a few gals also had glorious blackberry fingers!!  Cleanup after dinner took care of the ink and a sink full of soapy water took care of the Stamp 'n Scrub pads and the photopolymer blocks and stamps!  All ready for Thursday's class!!

Great job, gals!  Real stampers have inky fingers!!

Leadership Convention Update!

Hello, Stampers!

Sighhhhhhh...We're back from the final Leadership Convention but we're looking forward to all of the new events that Stampin' Up has for us!  We had a wonderful time, Downline Diva, Linda Williamson and I, trying out new products, watching demonstrations and attending meetings that inspired us both artistically and heart-wise!

Changes may come and go but what is important is that we do what we do and we share what we do because it comes from our hearts! My stamping friends make a huge difference in my life, so let me say a heartfelt "thank you" to all of you, my dear friends!  You make a difference in the life of so many with whom you share your lovely cards.  As our CEO/Founder Shelli Gardner said, "Go! Do!"  Pretty simple, huh?

Here are Linda and I on the final day of fun, walking (lots!!) and chilly meeting rooms!  I was so happy to feel the sunshine today on our walk to our local park but I am reminded that most of the 1600 ladies in attendance were traveling back to very cold climes and snow!  We are truly blessed to live in Florida!

We received plenty of free supplies!  I loved getting them, even though I already have most of them, because I can use them for prizes for YOU!!

What Have I Learned?  I have set some goals for myself:
*Conduct a kit class once a month (more on February's class to come!
*Take better pictures!!  :-)
*Post on the blog at least once a week.
*Learn how to film really good YouTube technique videos. (Well, first I need a tripod.....)
There are about 10 other goals but I'll start here!
I am still determined to expand my blog feed readership, so look for a contest to help me get started there.  (Even if you are already a follower, you have a chance to win!)
Off to prepare for Monday and Thursday classes!
Have a wonderful week and I hope you find time to be creative!!!
