December Scrapbook

It's hard to believe we've had the last few workshops of 2012!  I'm sure that 2013 will bring many fun gatherings and creative times together!!
Here are a few of my December memories:
If it's Monday, we're at The Gallery!  So many good times and wonderful creative chicas!
Our final Gallery workshop!  We stamped tissue and melted the images into the beautiful candles you see.  (New Year's Resolution:  NEVER forget to bring camera so that we have more than these grainy photos!!!)
Sweet and simple on the outside.  You'd never guess that the inside is the rosette fold 3-4 layer Christmas Tree.  A challenge but great results!!

Here is one of my favorite designs.  Textured, punched mittens.  Helen, one of the Gallery artists and one of our long time card makers, added an ornament top to her circle (love it!) and hung her mittens from the greeting!  Terrific!
Everyone--Open House Sunday Gals, SOS Stampers and the Art Gallery Stampers got a chance to make this fun origami-style card.
Thank you, Art Gallery Stamping Gals:  Debby, Becky, Nancy, Jo, Joan, Linda, Barbara and Barbara :), Phylis, Rebecca, Helen, Alice and Dora.
Happy New Year to all of you!  See you on January 7!!
What's worse than my phone camera?  NO camera!  Such was the case at our Dec. 2 Open House Sunday.  We had a great time stamping together and also created a "Christmas Pen" with a little holiday Designer Series Paper.

Many thanks to:  Helen, Phylis, Kathy, Joan, Joan CZ, Barbara C & Alice!
Our SOS Stampers met at the home of Vera Witt on Tuesday, December 18!  I must pay homage to Vera for the best mac 'n cheese I have ever enjoyed.  (I don't normally even EAT mac 'n cheese but now she has caused me to crave it!!)  Vera, Elise and Michelle had a lovely spread of delicious foods and desserts!  Thank you, gals!!  Donna, Claudia, Barbara, Susan, Trudy, Terri, Vera, Elise and Michelle.

A Little Out of Order But.......

Hey, Gals!

Mondays are always fun and relaxed (er well....unless it is the notorious "Fun Fold Card" or the 3-layer folded Christmas Tree card LOL) and this Monday was no different.  (Miss you Nancy and Joan!!)

Darn!  Please forgive me, Geri and Mary! I didn't get my camera out during your fun morning class.  Next time!

Jo, Becky, Debby and Helen in our great classroom at The Gallery.

We created a beautiful all-occasion card
in hues of Rich Razzleberry, Midnight Muse and Old Olive.  We always stamp inside and out AND we stamp matching envelopes too!
Our second card was an organic birthday card.  We used Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze and texturized the card front with the square lattice embossing folder.
Our talented stampers' creations!!

Don't forget next Monday's (Dec. 17) last class of the year!
Join us for the fun!!!

Stamping Fun at the Cards and Gifts Workshop--December 12

Hello, Creative Chicas!

Another great day at the Gallery!  We made a total of 24 cards and 8 projects in 4 hours!  (I should have had coffee available at about 3 pm! :-))

Our stampers, however, were up to any task.  Two of the gals were new to stamping but you would never know by their work and their results!!  All of our projects are level 4 & 5!  No beginner's stuff here!!

Thank you, Joyce, Rebecca and Mayra for the opportunity to do what I love so much--create and share.

Techniques we used included:
Heat Embossing
Embossing Folders
Die Cuts
Here are a few pix of the day!

Our next regular class is this coming Monday from 1:30-3:30 at the Art Gallery of Viera.  It's BYOC day!  Bring your own pillar candle or LED candle and we will transform them into a beautifully decorated gift.  We'll also stamp some Christmas gift wrap and create an all-occasion card!  Make your reservation at today!!

Here are a few photos of our fun afternoon!

Happy Stamping!
A+ Stampers from left:  Mayra, Joyce, Rebecca

Everyone got to create 4 stamped tile coasters.

Because the group was relatively small, we were able to have everyone do both "projects", the coasters and the cute hot cocoa pouch on the left.  A big shoutout to terrific galpal and SU Demo in Greer, NC, Linda Williamson, for the cocoa pouch idea.  Friends share!!
We made 2 each of the 3 card designs.  The insides of the cards are stamped and so are the matching envelopes.

The Week That Was......Wonderful!

Hey, Stampers!

I've just had a real solid week of creativity with so many wonderful gals!  Starting out with Open House Sunday, some of my Stampin' Up stampers and some "new to Open House" stampers came for the tree trimming.  That would be the trimming of our two Christmas cards--The tea-bag fold and the circle fold.  We had a terrific time of gabbing, laughing, snacking, stamping, folding and embossing with Barbara, Joan CZ, Joan C, Kathy, Phylis, Alice and Helen!  It doesn't get any better!

Then on to Monday! I got to meet two new gals, Mary and Geri, at the early Gallery class where we made a birthday card and a cute Christmas Gum cover gift.  You can see our work below.  We revisited those same projects with our afternoon stampers.  Too much fun in one day!!

On Wednesday our 3rd (of 4) Christmas Projects/Gifts Workshop took place at the Gallery with 12 enthusiastic (and wonderfully helpful and flexible) stampers.  We made 6 Christmas cards and then stampers had a choice of stamped tile coasters or a hot cocoa gift folder.

We ended up with 72 cards and 12 beautiful projects.  My thanks goes out to all of the gals!!

Here are some pictures of our recent activities:

Anita puts the finishing touches on her stamped tile coasters.

With my rushing around so much, I apologize for not getting great pictures of ALL of the great gals there! I have to work on my skills!

A huge thank you to all of this week's stampers!!  Life is good!!
