Flamingos and Sea Shells!

Here are Helen and Lavinia with our finished Bee-yooo-tee-ful sea shell cards.  Clean and simple.  What is difficult to see is the hazy, sparkly finish created by gluing (yes) a used dryer sheet over the blue "sea" and sprinkling very fine iridescent glitter over the dryer sheet.
Here's project #2!  We used blender pens to color our  flamingos and their cute straw hats!  These ladies are so artistic!  I love that they are all the same, yet different here and there!  The beauty of art!!

Next week a beautiful butterfly easel card and another lovely greeting card!

Kids' Camp In Progress!!

Here are 7 year-old Alexa's birthday cards, created at this week's Kids' Camp!   Such a capable, artistic, lovely student!
Great job, Alexa!!
Next week we're creating birthday gift bags and enclosures.  I'm thinking French poodles for the girl's bag and some rad surfing images for the boy's bag. (LOL)
Come join us at the Gallery!

Hello, Creative Chicas!

This past Monday at the Gallery was fun as ever!  Barbara, Christine, and Christines's lovely daughter, Anne, who was visiting from Texas joined us for a fun two hours.  We started by making Petite Purses.  We used a Big Shot die for the purse and then accessorized with rhinestones, silver glimmer paper, hearts, and cabbage roses.

We then used stamp pads and sponges to transform half circles into yummy looking watermelon slices.  Our seeds are actually each "half a heart" punch.  There was talk of a watermelon seed spitting contest in both classes but we did refrain.  LOL

Barbara, Anne and Christine hard at work!
Helen and I repeated the morning projects for the afternoon class.  Wow!  It certainly makes a day fly by.  If you are in the area and haven't visited the Art Gallery of Viera, you don't know what you're missing.  There are seriously gifted and talented artists here!  (I'm a crafter.....They are artists!)  They have lots of cool events and a fine calendar of classes.  Check them out at

Our fashionable little handbags, perfect for favors, sweet treats, or bling!!
Mmmmmmm--Made us want to stop at Publix for watermelon!!

Next week:  By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea.......  Sea shells and flamingos!  Join us!!

So many colors and designs.  So little time!  (Well, I guess you can tell I've used a little time here.  After the initial die-cutting, they are great "in front of the tv" projects!

Shadow Stamping

This past Creative Monday saw us scaling back from our over-the-top fun fold card to creating 3 pretty greeting cards.  They were pretty much identical except for colors and messages.  This is a quick way to add to your card stash in a hurry.  We made these 3 cards in just a little over an hour and were able to enjoy chatting.  Life lesson here for me.  It's really nice to have a relaxing lesson plan occasionally!  My apologies to Chris for not remembering to photograph her beautiful projects and her wonderful self!

Come join us to stamp at the Gallery!

Fun Fold Triangle Fold Cards At the Gallery

Okay!  I can learn!  I've always thought about having "free play" at a stamping workshop.  I visualized many similar projects with wonderfully individual creative touches.  However, my "free play" workshop (at the Gallery and at my Tuesday Evening Stamping Club) transformed into a " do I get started, conundrum"!  But my gals are good sports.  Some finished them up at home.  Some probably filed them "for future reference" and some came back to the Gallery to finish--Helen!  It was so fun for me to hear Helen's reaction to a new idea, color combination or design element.  (I have a sweet little stamping goody bag for the first person to leave a comment on this week's blog.)  Her card turned out fabulously as you can see below!  My thanks to everyone for your perseverance, patience and for not throwing your projects at me!  LOL!!

Helen and a few of the tools of the trade that she used to complete her Fun Fold card.

The outside of the card.

The inside

Completely opened!  A real surprise and WOW layout!

All tied up and ready to place in a pretty envelope.  Helen was able to use 3-dimensional embellishments since this will be placed in a padded envelope and mailed to a very long time friend that lives out of state.  Beautiful job, Helen!
Okay, so now I'm thinking clean, simple (Keep It Simple, Stamper!) for next week.  We'll make 3 cards  that are alike except for colors and greetings!  They'll be a nice addition to your trove of special cards for special people.  Peace, Ree
