Sunflowers and Stamping With Bleach

Hi, Creative Stamping Chicas!

Today the Art Gallery Stampers created two cards.  The first was a bleach/batik technique for a lovely card that could be his or hers.  I love how the gals took the ball and ran with it.  Our cards were similar but very different too.  I can't wait to use some of the student ideas for my next batch of batik cards.  We welcomed Barbara and Diane, Barbara's friend from D.C., for their first Creative Cards visit.  They were a quick study and wonderful company!  We welcomed back Christine, who as always, is fun and creative.  I have to admit that I am so pleased with gals that come to stamp.  They are so considerate, sweet and creative.  I guess I love teaching thanks to the great students.  (The story of my life and long teaching career!)

Stamping with bleach--quick, fun and such beautiful creations!
Our second card was a punchy sunflower that we embossed with the Big Shot and used our paper piercing tool and guide to actually get those little brads lined up!!  Inside, we faux-watercolored (ink and blender pens) a pretty yellow flower.  One of the fun techniques we used was that of using a pencil eraser to stamp the center of our little yellow flowers for the envelopes.
Helen, our "real" artist from the gallery.  We always peek at Helen's projects for her creative angles!!
Helen and Lavinia have been coming to classes since last fall!  We can count on them for good company and creativity!!
Sunflowers!
Next Week:  4th of July card and the cutest triangle fold cards ever!!

Tulip Card and The High Seas!

Anchors Away!!

Greetings, Creative Chicas!!  Helen, Lavinia, Lisa and I met last Monday and created the two fun cards pictured above.  Our vase of tulips was created by punching.......and punching........and punching!  :-) We ended up with really pretty orchid-colored thank you cards.  Our second card was a masculine greeting card.  We used a variety of messages and the gals flexed their creativity mojo so each card was a little different and all were fabulous!!  Be the first to leave a comment on these projects and get a great bundle of stamping supplies.

Come join us at Mojo Mondays at the Gallery of Viera!

In the Pink!

This week the Art Gallery Stampers created two pink cards.  We challenged ourselves with the many-step teacup card and then followed it with a simple but elegant greeting card using my favorite Melon Mambo scalloped ribbon.  The morning class members, Bev, Lisa and Colette were great company and were really quick at picking up the techniques I threw at them on a Monday morning--faux watercoloring with markers and blender pens, creating scalloped paper lace and constructing an envelope to hold our teabag!  We used one of my favorite Eleanor Roosevelt quotes for the message:  "You never know how strong a woman is until she gets into hot water!".  My apologies to Helen, Jean and Lavinia for being too lamebrained to remember to take pictures at our afternoon class!  Our projects, however, turned out quite similar and very pretty! :-)

Next week we'll create a card with punches for a vase full of beautiful tulips and a more masculine ship on the high seas birthday or thank you card.  Email me at:  reenathan@bellsouth.net to reserve your spot!  I'll send a notice out to regular stampers on Thursday as well!
