Sweet Kisses!

April 16 started off with sweet treats to accompany the theme of our first creation, the Hershey Kiss card.  We punched a blossom petal and trimmed it to make the "kiss" and then just attached it to a square of crumpled aluminum foil.  We stamped the blue and white banners with a variety of greetings so the card could be used for Fathers' Day, birthdays, get well or thinking of you.  You can't miss with a red, black and silver color combo!!

Next we went to a soft color palette to create a Mothers' Day/Get Well/Congratulations card.  Spring butterflies grace the textured background, with the cut-out butterflies being popped out with an adhesive dimensional.  The Art Gallery stampers are a talented, friendly, and creative group.  We love how all of our creations are similar but not exactly alike!!  Next week:  a pretty pop-up card and a great "organic" multi-purpose card.  We always try to have extra sentiments to meet everyone's needs.

Discovery's Final Flight
And of course, this week we all gathered to see Discovery on it's way to Washington D.C. atop the beautiful and majestic 747.  We went to the beach early for the sunrise and then caught our breaths and shed a tear to see the final flight as it flew over the ocean turned around in Satellite Beach and came back for us to have one last look.

Final Farewell!  Sniff!

A little bonus:  An Air Force One 747 from the fleet sat atop the tarmac at Patrick Air Force Base.  Probably backup for the President, who was in South America at the time.  We got a good long look as traffic was backed up for 1/2 hour!  :-)
