A Quick, Elegant, Masculine Handmade Valentine!

Hello, Stampers!

Are you a couple of valentines short for the upcoming holiday?  Here's a quick and easy one, using various neutral shades from the Stampin' Up color family.

The card base is chocolate Chip.
  • The card front is Crumb Cake run through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder.
  • 3 "Sweethearts" punched from Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.
  • Neutrals Candy Dots add just the right touch without being too frou-frou!
  • Don't have the stamp you need?  Well hopefully, you can dust off your My Digital Studio program to get the colors and fonts that you love!  Just print it out on your choice of SU Neutrals Cardstock and sponge a little Chocolate Chip around the edges.
  • Don't forget your Dimensionals--easily the best "pop-ups" available.  They are just the right height and use the entire sheet.  (3 sheets to one pack!!)

Directions For Big Shot Die Brush!! Bloomin' Love Valentine with Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and Free Designer Paper for the Envelope!

Hi, Stampers!

Here's a really pretty card that we made at the SOS Stamp Club and Titusville Art League stamping classes.  Sweet and simple and an unexpected color combination for Valentine's Day but WOW!!

I love the Blackberry Bliss ink and cardstock for a really dramatic and yet, clean design.  Remember, to have virtually perfect release of paper bits from the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit and the paper heart itself, I recommend this lineup:  (So nice to dispense with the parchment and dryer sheets!!!)

#1:
  • Magnetic Platform
  • Impressions Plate ****Be sure to offset the Magnetic Platform and the Impressions Plate so that you don't have to use a crowbar to separate the 2!
  • Cardstock or Designer Paper
  • Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Die
  • Single Plastic Cutting Plate (Only 1!!)
#2:
  • Crank it forward and back
  • Then roll over die (paper side down) with your Big Shot Die Brush!   Go 2 different directions! You'll be amazed!!

CASE'ing Going Globa! Cardmaking Fun With New Occasions Products!

Hi, Stampers!

I confess to happily case'ing one of wonderful projects wee got to make at November's OnStage Event in Tampa!  I immediately fell in love with the Going Global Stamp Set, the Going Places 6" x 6" paper stack and the World Traveler Textured Impressions Folder.  We made these cards in my classes last week.  Some were valentines, some were birthday cards and some were congratulatory cards.  How versatile can one group of products be???!!!

We lightly inked the top inside folder of the embossing folder with the Crumb Cake Stamp Pad, inserted the Crumb Cake 4" X 5 1/4" paper, ran it through the Big Shot and got really interesting results in each case.

I really LOVE creating with my stamp groups!  They are all so creative and fun to be around!!  Lucky me and counting my blessings!!

I wish you a glorious, creative week!

Flying High With the Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set, The Sky Is the Limit

Hello, Stampers!

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!  It's been a fun week with my Art Gallery Classes, Stamp Club and the Titusville Art League Stampers!

To top it off, 5 of my fabulous stamping friends and I took a little "road trip" yesterday to take a class together in Port Orange.  What a wonderful time we had, enjoying the creative and organizational talents of Oksana Semenska!  We made five fabulous projects and enjoyed her gracious hospitality.  Oksana is wonderfully creative and I encourage you to enjoy her work.  You can see the projects we made and so much more  at http://stampwithoksana.blogspot.com/

Here is one of our Art Gallery cards!  Simple, clean and masculine, using Circle Scallop punch outs from the Going Places 6" x 6" Spring Occasions stack.  I LOVE those papers!  We fussy cut our biplane, from Going Global, and topped it off with Linen Thread.

Here's wishing you a creative and inspirational weekend!

Cocoa Beach Florida Cardmaking Class-Petite Petals Valentinea

Hello Stampers!

Here's a bird's eye view of one of our cards from the latest Cocoa Beach Library Stampers' Class.  Such fun!  We used the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Folder on our heart cut out and used the Petite Petals stamps and punch to create both the Rose Red flowers and the Mossy Meadow stamped leaves.

Our DSP is from the beautiful Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack.  I love those papers--48 sheets of 6 X 6 double sided pretty!!

Our "love" stamp is from Best of Love, sadly retired but always in my heart and my stamp collection!!  :)

Have a happy and creative day!!

Card Making Fun With Pretty Valentines

 Hi, Stampin' Friends!

It's been a fun week with the Art Gallery Stampers and the Cocoa Beach Library Stampers!  So much cute!!

The Art Gallery Stampers made these two designs in Monday's classes!  You can't really tell from the photo, but we sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds on clear packing tape and adhered it to the back of our heart framelit cutout.  The tape is transformed into a pretty "screen" that looks like iridescent tulle.  Our colors were Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride.

Our second creation used Pink Pirouette and Tip Top Taupe papers with a little Rose Red ink to make some of the flowers pop!  Between the magnetic platform (be sure to offset the Precision Plate!), the Precision Plate and the Big Shot Brush, the most intricate framelits are released easy peasy!!!

Our next post will feature the 3 cards we made at the Cocoa Beach Library.  Sweet, simple and yet lots of WOW!
Don't forget to check out this week's Weekly Deals and enjoy your creativity!
