Art Gallery Cards News and Guest Stamper Jane!

Hello, Stampers!

I'm back in town for a few days before heading to Orlando to judge Orange County Choirs.  More fun for me and life is full and a little crazy!  I've had a wonderful time in Ft. Walton and Vero Beach this past week.  Such fabulous choirs and wonderful directors. I am soooo lucky!!

Coming up:

Art Gallery Cards Monday in Viera, Monday, 3/16:  We'll be making a really pretty Easter card.  Although they are no longer available, we'll use our Blendabilities and hope that somehow they will be made available to us (though at this time it doesn't seem like it will happen!!).  We'll also make a pretty birthday card using Parklane DSP.  My thanks go to Cindy Techlin at www.stampinAnInkTrail.blogspot.com for her inspiration for our birthday card.  Here's Cindy's card.  Ours is a bit different but I think you'll enjoy creating it!!
Birthday, One Sheet Wonder, Park Lane DSP, Something to Say, Stampin' Up, Tent Card, Stampin' Up!

Art Gallery Cards and the Cocoa Beach Library, Wednesday, 3/ 25, 9:30 am.  3 cards for just $10.  We'll make an Easter card, a birthday card and a card that can have your choice of sentiment.

Our One Page Wonder Class will take place on Thursday, March 26, 1:30-3:30 pm at the Art Gallery of Viera.  Deadline for ordering kits and registration is Monday, March 16.  Email Ree at:  reenathan@bellsouth.net

SOS Stamp Club will meet on Friday, 3/27, at my Stampin' Oasis at 6:30 pm.  This is our final opportunity to get a few more Occasions and Sale-A-Bration items.  (Darn, I wish the Occasions catty would be available a bit longer!!!)

Psssssst!!  Don't forget to check out the Weekly Deals by clicking above!!  Send the word class to me and if you're first, you'll get a cool gift.  These items are available until Monday evening and then first thing Tuesday morning we'll have a new set of items!

Today, I'd like to feature one of my terrific Monday stampers, Jane Baxter.  Jane is super-creative and always finds the timeto actually send her cards for every occasion!!  (Unlike yours truly!)  It's always a pleasure to open up an envelope from Jane!  You know you will love the beautiful and very original card that she has sent!!

Thank you, Jane!  I love your St. Patrick's Day card!!  Note the pretty glittery ribbon and the Crystal Effects shamrock on the heart!!  Looooove it!!

Here is our supply list for Monday:

Hooray, It's Your Day Kit

Hi, Stampers,

I'm getting in one more post before I leave tomorrow for the panhandle!

I wanted to post some pictures of our cards from the Hooray, It's Your Day Workshop!  We had a fun time creating cards from the myriad of supplies that were included with the kit and added a few of our own stamps and embellishments too!

Enjoy our "pretties"!!  We still have a stack of cards and supplies to play with!!

A fun gift card holder!!
Didn't think I'd love the wooden accessories but they are very cool and your can color them with your gold or silver gel pens.
Happy Stampin'!!
See you in a week!

First Communion Ensemble

Hello, Stampers!

When a friend recently asked me to create 20 First Communion invitations, I was anxious to make pretty invitations for her little girl.  The project list grew as we included response cards & envelopes and thank you notes and envelopes.

These quickly became hybrid My Digital Studio projects, with some embossing, die cuts and punches.  I ended up enlarging the response cards to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" when I realized my original response cards were too small for the USPS.  They were cute anyway and I'll re-use the envelopes!  :-)

The color palette is Pirouette Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White.  You'll see a product list at the bottom of the post.

Have a happy, stampin' day!

Titusville Art League Summer Silhouettes and Something Borrowed

Hi, Stampers!

We have our county covered north to south!  This past Thursday I visited the Titusville Art League for some fun, chill stamping and lots of giggles and fun!  The gals created the two pretty cards you see here below!

We reprised the "Hello" card that we made in Monday's classes. We used the stacking order in the last post for the "hello" and it works like a charm!  Check it out!  I based this card on one that I had seen in "Stampin' Success", our Demo magazine.  I had to add the beautiful Something Borrowed DSP from the Occasions Catalog.  So elegant and beautiful.  I love it all over again each time I look at it!!  GOJUS!!

We also used as a basis for our second card one of our earlier cards from February.  It's never too early for spring here in Florida!  I love the colors of Strawberry Slush, Pear Pizzazz and Pink Pirouette together, don't you?  We combined the Summer Silhouettes with the swoosh from Work of Art.  Love it!!

Thank you, Titusville gals, for a fun afternoon together!!

I must give a shout out to one of the gods of stamping, Brian King!!  I love looking at his blog and I enjoy (and sometimes CASE) his beautiful, clean and simple projects.  I found the  product list on his post and nearly jumped for joy!   What a fabulous tool!!  Thank you, Brian!!  You can check out Brian's Blog at www.stampwithbrian.com

Lots O' Hearts For St. Patrick's Day and Something Borrowed Card

Hello, Stampers!

Check out the Weekly Deals by clicking on the sign above!  Don't forget the 4 new Sale-a-Bration items.  I was so conflicted when I had to choose between the In Color Twine and Buttons and the Stamp Sets.  The Vellum Stack was my #1 Choice!  Grab them quickly--before March 31!!!

Have a look at our fun cards from this week's Art Gallery Cards card making classes!
This is a good way to put those odds and ends of DSP to good use!  Add a few random hearts using Calypso Coral and there you have it!!

These cards are so elegant and pretty!  Good job, Gals!  We used Something Borrowed DSP, the beautiful Sahara Sand Lace and Crumb Cake Satin Ribbon.  Pearly complete the elegance!  Our trick of layering in this order:
  • Cutting Plate
  • Used Dryer Sheet
  • Card Stock (Sahara Sand in this instance.)
  • Parchment
  • Thinlit (From Hello You--Occasions Catalog)
  • Cutting Plate

Works GREAT for thinlits too!  The thinlit released cleanly and easily!

(If you're out there, my "No Contact" stamper, thank you again for your order!  Fond thoughts go out to you!!)

Have a happy week of fun stamping and creativity!!
