Card Making With Art Gallery Cards

Hello, Stampers!

Finally back to normal.  After the preparations, evacuation, return to no power (at least we had water!) for four days and I'm sure all of you know the rest, we got back to normal.  Well, that is until Thursday when the power company finally arrived to take care of the fallen line in our back yard.  Unfortunately, power had to be turned off to our home and 6 others for "2 hours".  Thankfully 7 1/2 hours later power was restored and we could wind up cords, turn off the generator that we fortunately still had and take a breath.

Ah.......the mundane is so wonderful after chaos, isn't it?  And yet, we were so fortunate compared to many that faced the full wrath of Matthew, certain to take it off the list of popular names for newborns!

Our Art Gallery Cards Classes met on Monday and Cocoa Beach Stampers met on Wednesday.  Here are some of our creations!  Enjoy and CASE as you like!

We covered Christmas, Fall/Thanksgiving and Halloween this week.
Merry Tags!

Card Making With the Art Gallery Cards Makers--Class Schedules, Announcements, Specials!

Hello, My Stampin' Divas and Chicas!

I hope you are all having a fabulous week!
Above you'll see some of the projects that we enjoyed making in our classes this week!  It was so much fun to make the shaker card and the witch card!

Equally fun was the Vintage Leaves card that is CASE'd from Oksana Semenska, my wonderfully creative workshop teacher in Port Orange.  She is amazing!!  This is not exactly like any of her cards but it is definitely inspired by the cards we made with her a few weeks ago!!
I have to say that this has been a wonderful week due to some balance!  Here's what I need to have a balanced week (crazy nut that I am!)
·         I taught 3 fabulous stamping classes.
·         I cleaned a closet and straightened my stamp room.
·         I worked like a devil in the yard today!  I trimmed hedges, shaped 6 hibiscus trees with the electric hedge trimmer and cleaned up the beds in the front and by the back fence.  Watered my outdoor plants and washed down the patio.
·         Took 2 Zumba classes (1 and 1/2 more tomorrow!)
What I STILLLL need to do to help me achieve and sustain balance for at least a short time:
·         Write and send this great newsletter and take some pictures for it!
·         Design 2-4 cards for my classes next week (4!)
Feel free to share what you do to achieve balance or close to it!!
Attention Titusville Stampers and Others That May Be Interested....

By the way!  Connie Allen, a watercolor teacher that I know from the Titusville Art League, is going to teach us how to draw these beautiful portraits of women of color at my Titusville Public Library class next Wednesday.  We meet at 10:30 am.  Connie will teach the first hour and we'll make a pretty Christmas card during the second hour.  I have a couple of extra seats available if you would like to join us "up north".  Let me know by Monday. ( I'm soooo excited because I've never been taught how to draw ANYTHING in my whole life!) I am so grateful to Connie for her kind offer!!
If my project looks anything like this, I will be over the moon!!

Well if that isn't enough......

I've had a wonderful week!  I got to do some casual stamping early in the week and had a fabulous time.  I even discovered some products that I may not be able to resist. Shhhhhhh! Well, actually, I've already gotten one of the items--a really cool Sizzix triple circle flip it card framelit.  Don't worry!  You'll see it soon enough.  Thank you Dyanne and Sadie for helping to usher me to the "dark side"!  (giggle!!)

My Stamp Club met on Tuesday evening and we had a wonderful time--as always! Thank you SOS members for a wonderful evening of fun and pretty cards!!!

So.......what does a stamper do when she has 2 extra days???  Well, here is what I've been up to!  I plan to make 4 more of these!  You can easily make these for gifts.  I visited my local thrift shops and Ross to find inexpensive frames and painted them with a really good black shiny spray paint.  They turned out terrific!  Then I gathered papers, ribbon, embellishments--Just the thing we all have plenty of--and went to work (Play!!).  I'd love to see your creations if you decide to make these!  They are so fun to make that I hope to make another round of these for Christmas!!  Have Fun!!

Here is our schedule for the next 2 weeks!! Please RSVP for your respective classes 3 days prior.
Art Gallery of Viera:  Yes, we are meeting for both classes on Monday (10:30 and 1:30).  We'll make a Christmas card using embossed gold foil paper for our beautiful stars and we'll do some aquapainting with alcohol on our Thanksgiving card.  Halloween next time!  Promise! (Not to drink but to use instead of water.  :-)
We'll also meet again on September 12.
Titusville Public Library:  We'll meet on Wednesday, September 7, at 10:30 am to create the cards described above.
Cocoa Beach Public Library:  We'll meet on September 21 at 9:30 am to create a Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween card.
SOS Stamp Club:   We'll meet on Tuesday, September 27.  Michelle is our host. More on the location as we draw closer to the date.

I'll send supply lists out for those of you that may wish to bring your stamps, inks etc.

Let me know how I can be of service to you!!

Thank you for supporting our classes!  YOU make it all happen!!

Hello, Stampers!

Here's a treat for you!!!  Below, you'll find a gallery of beautiful cards that we've created in the last week or two.  I'm also including several pictures featuring Fabulous Flourishes.  These cards were designed and prepped by Oksana Semenska, our wonderful workshop leader in Port Orange, Fl.  You can see more of her beautiful and inspiring designs at

I hope that you'll find enjoyment and inspiration with our creations!  Later this week I'll be featuring the cards from our Christmas in August Card Swap party!

Here are the wonderful projects we made with Oksana at her August workshop.  So many wonderful details and lovely card layouts.  What you cannot see is that picture #2 is actually a darling little folder with 3 x 3 notecards and envelopes.  Thank you, Oksana!

Here are some of the fun cards we made in workshops the past week or so!  You'll see cards using From Land to Sea, Work of Art, Made With Love and more!

Here is one of our first Christmas cards for 2016!  A cute penguin spinner card!  Fun!
Oops!  This kitty card doesn't have it's sentiment tag! :)

So many color possibilities with this masculine birthday card!

Here is another baby card that we made using a different color palette and layout.  So adorable!!

Woo Hoo!  If you are a Monday AGOV stamper, email me to tell me that you saw the sneak peek for this Monday's cards below!  A prize will be awarded!  I love both of these cards, I have to admit.

Color Challenge Entries and A Sneaky Peek at My Christmas Swap

Hello, Stampers!

I hope this finds you well, happy and finding some creative time!

We are getting ready for our Christmas in August "Swapfest" so I thought I'd give everyone a little peek at my card.  I can't wait to reveal the whole care and the other 9 gals' creations to all of you!!  Check us out on Facebook after August 15!  We have already posted the Color Challenge cards on our Facebook pages.  If you have an account, please like and/or leave comments at

Here's my sneaky little peek for our Christmas swaps!

I love how the colors worked together for Colette's card.  I have to admit to wanting a cupcake RIGHT NOW!  :-)  Nice work, Colette!

Dara is one of my Monday am stampers.  She was so smart to put that beautimus  DSP to good use.  I love the banner and frame.  Thank you, Dara!

What a pretty sailing card!!  I love the aquapainted background and the frame.  Very creative, Mike!

Aubry may be the youngest (11) member of my regular stampers but she is way beyond her years when it comes to design and use of colors.  I love the sweet background flowers and the artistic swooshes.  Thank you, Aubry!!

Here is my entry.  I had fun with the background embossing folder, the square framelits and, of course, the adorable goldfish.

Thank you for stopping by and be sure to visit us at:
