The New Graduate

Hello, Stampers!

This post seemed to take on a life of its own as soon as I began typing.  I know many of you are attending graduations at this time of year.  What an exciting time for all.  For all of the parents that feel like "We did it!" and the teachers that helped so many students along for so many years, I say "Thank you and bless you for all that you have invested in these young people.  It's not always easy being a good parent or a good teacher.  There are so many decisions to make day to day.  I've always said that life is a series of pop quizzes and is it ever so!!
I have to admit feeling lonely for the Abby, the sweet little curly-haired girl, the little violinist, the soccer girl, the "kid-nurse" on the soccer field, the volleyball player and coach, the angel in the Christmas play, the little Daisy and Brownie, the Jessie costume and our Babapaloozas.  I wouldn't even mind a daylong viewing of "Jungle Book" or "Lion King" again.  In fact, I'd love to go back and re-live a day with each of those little girls and young ladies. But, time marches on and we hope that you, too, look to the future with great hope.

Congratulations, Abigail Elisabeth Cordrey.  We wish you the very best of life and success.  Much love to you, dear girl!

A Big "Thank You"!

Hello, Stampers!

Yes, you did it!  Because of your loyalty and support, I have achieved the promotion to Manager!  Being a goal-oriented person, I decided nearly a year ago to make that promotion my goal.  Thanks to you it has happened.  Whether you came to a class, sent me an order, joined my team or recruited another demo, you did this!!  I am very grateful to you.

I'm not sure what kind of incentives that Stampin' Up has for us when the new Idea Book is released, but I would like to offer you the following gifts as a thank you.

A--Between June 2 and June 20, with each $40 order, you can choose one of the following:

  • A ribbon sampler that features 1 yard each of all of the ne In-Color Sheer Ribbons.  (See one of them pictured above.) Or..
  • A mini-sampler of either the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper (DSP) or the English Garden DSP.  (Sampler is comprised of 12 6x6" sheets.)  Or....

This Week's Cards at the Art Gallery of Viera--A Fabulous Shoe and a Pastoral Scene

Hi, Stampers!

What a lovely day, yesterday, at the AGOV!  We heat embossed a beautiful shoe image and used the Work of Art stamps to create a pretty background for our images on the second card.  So sad that the shoe stamp is retired but it is definitely one that's a keeper for me!!

I'm looking forward to repeating these pretties at Thursday's Titusville Art League class.

Now I'm off to make a banner for our granddaughter's graduation cake table.  She is graduating from high school in Oviedo and will attend Seminole State CC starting the second summer term.  Congratulations, Abby!!  We Love You & Wish You the Very Best!!!!

Happy Stampin'!!

Hey, Stampers!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I appreciate your taking a look and I love it when you leave a comment!!

It's been a fun week before I head off to Orlando tomorrow for the Floriday Vocal Association Board Meeting.  I've been busy sorting and packing up items for my June 6 stamp sale!  Be sure to stop by between 10 am and 1 pm.  Let me know by email if you need directions!

On Monday we created these fun cards.  Mike inspired me with her picture of a monocled and mustachioed man.  or fun, I decided to give him a derby hat.  Pretty easy and mostly punching with a couple of framelits thrown in.  Thank you, Mike!!

Next, Jane challenged me to use one of my favorite retired sets in the Victorian style of some lovely cards she had made.  I loved that she had made her card in 4 or 5 different colors and I'm kicking myself for not taking a picture!!!  My card is pretty easy and I loved the Vanilla bow to add the finishing touch.  My card is stamped in Rose Red.  I was stamping some elements of that same card this am for my friend up north when my stamp pad fel in to one of the doggie water bowls!  Yikes!!  You can imagine!  I scooped it out, cleaned up the pink splatters everywhere, changed the dog water and began blotting the stamp pad as it was definitely soaked!  Hmmmmm......I went ahead and stamped and it worked fine, even though I'm waiting for it to dry overnight before I add re-inkier.  Interesting.....(I hope my friend isn't grossed out!  LOL)

Yesterday I got to stamp with my Cocoa Beach Library group.  Fun!  We make 3 cards there so it's always a challenge since I can't seem to dial the layers back enough to get done on time!!  :-)

Here are our pretty cards!  Along with Monday's Victorian bird card, we made our bouquet using Very Vanilla and Whisper White punched blossomes and a throwback to one of my all-time favorites, the fabulous shoe card!!  Thank you, CBL gals, for your patience, perseverance and talent!  We had 3 brand new stampers, Elaine, Denise, and Becky, who made amazing projects!!

Speaking of fabulous, I received this really pretty card from Jane last week.  I love her precise work with Washi Tape and her coordinating stripes (Work of Art) on the inside.  Thank you, Jane!!

My best to all of you fabulous stampers!  (That's the only kind there are!)  I thank you for making my days fun and inspired!
Happy Stampin'!!
