Hi, Stampers!!

I've returned from Tampa, where I attended the Florida Music Educators' Association Conference and Convention.  It was a wonderful time (as always!) going to sessions, board meetings and meeting up with good friends.  This is my 38th annual state convention in a row!  I can hardly believe it myself.  I spent the better part of Friday observing and enjoying the rehearsals of the Middle School Treble and Mixed Choruses.  They were THE best ever.  Wonderful students and fab, fab, fabulous director/clinicians, Mary LaCasse Biddlecombe and Tesfa Wondegmagegnehu (Yes, I can pronounce it!).  These are such charismatic and inspirational teachers.  I know that many singers' lives were changed after 3 days with Mary and Tesfa.  I was moved to tears more than once!!

Couldn't resist these facebook images.  Mary definitely had her director face on in rehearsal but I love this pic with her wonderfully multi-talented choral director husband(Vanderbilt University), Tucker.

Okay then, (sigh) time to put on my greeting card teacher hat!  I love this week's projects. (But don't I always??) :-)  I'm thinking of adding a cute little banner on the "Tasty Truck".  Woke up at convention on Friday thinking that!  A little "somethin'" is also needed for our sandpiper card.

We'll meet at the Art Gallery of Viera at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm and at the Titusville Public Library at 10:30 am on Wednesday.  If you'll be in the area, email me at reenathan@bellsouth.net and I'll save a kit and a place for you!!

Happy Stampin'!!

2017 Calendar Card, Oh Those Sweet Succulents!! Time for Valentines!!

Hi, Stampers,

I LOVE making Christmas cards but it's always, literally, a "breath of fresh, spring air", when we start making cards using pastels and red and white valentines.  So we're off and running!

Here are last week's projects at The Art Gallery of Viera and the Cocoa Beach Library classes.  Don't you love the colors for the succulent products???  I just can't get enough Sweet Sugarplum!!

When I attended CentreStage and OnStage last fall, I met Angie Hayes Railsford through Frances Wagner.  We exchanged wonderful gifts and one of Angie's projects was a desk-top calendar.  My calendar design is below.  You can find the little calendars at www.vippies.com  You can see more of Angie's and Frances' work on Facebook. You can find further inspiration at pinkbuckaroodesigns.blogspot.com

This week's project were these fabulous (because of the beautiful new Stampin' Up products!!!) cards.  I love the detail of the lacy So Detailed Thinlits Dies. (Quick note:  If you're having trouble getting the die to cut all the way through, I suggest:

  • Use your flattest cutting plates!
  • Rub the cutting side of your dies with a new dryer sheet. Works like buttah!! :-)

The Sealed With Love Bundle is just amazing.  We used it for both projects!  Add the Sending Love Designer Paper Stack and you are in business!!!

Thank you for visiting and email any questions to me at reenathan@bellsouth.net

Happy Stamping!!

Gold Hanging Stocking, Candy Cane Lane Cookie Jar and Merry Musical Mice!

Hello, Stampers!

It's been a wonderful week for stamping!  In addition to 3 classes and one workshop, I ended the week on Friday with a Stamp 6 Christmas Cards workshop!  We made 2 each of the following 3 designs, had great snacks (Thank you, attendees!) and had a big drawing/giveaway of ribbons, baker's twines, stamp sets and kits!

Here is what we made.  First is our gold hanging stocking card. Gold and Whisper White are my two favorite Christmas colors!  We used Gold Foil paper, Gold Glitter sheets, gold twine and Encore Gold Ink!  This card goes together easily once everything is punched out!  :-)
Next is our waaaaay cute Candy Cane Lane Cookie Jar card!  I am so hooked on this Designer Series Paper.  I have used it for everything and I continue to do so, as you'll see below!  Such a fun card--definitely for a very special recipient!
Having been a music teacher for more than 30 years, I can't resist anything with a music staff!  I love the little mice (I used to collect Charming Tales figurines.  Now I just collect Stampin' Up products. LOL)  The Cherry Cobbler and Black cardstocks just set everything off!!

I left our Stamp 6 Workshop and drove directly to a big box hardware store in search of 4x4 tiles for our coaster project.  (They are not as easy to find these days as you might think!!)  These are actually 4 1/4" squares but it works out fine with 4"x 4" tiles because you have that nice 1/4" border.  A little ModgePodge and little felt "feet" and you have it!

Have a wonderful week of stamping and creativity!!  Check out the supplies below.  You can find many of them on sale at our end of the year Clearance Sale!  Find them all by clicking HERE!

Stamping With Oksana and Cardmaking with the Art Gallery and Cocoa Beach Stampers

Hi, Stampers!

Such a great week!!  Donna K. and I traveled to Port Orange for a fabulous event, Oksana Semenska's Stamp a Stack!  I do not know how she accomplishes everything!  In additions to working full time, keeping up with children and a large, lovely home AND a huge garden, Oksana prepares all of these lovely projects and gifts she made for us.  And then she bakes for us too.  You can tell that I'm in awe!  You can visit Oksana's blog at http://www.funstamper.com/

Here are some of her gifts to us and the 10 cards we made.

Yayyyy!  I got the new program to work!  Here is the Detail Santa shaker card we made at the Cocoa Beach Library today.  Fun and not really difficult thanks to the Stampin' Up Foam Adhesive Strips.  Cute, huh? :-)
Many thanks to Angie, my roommate at CentreStage.  She gave me a similar Double Z Fold card that she had made.  I was so excited to get my hands on one so that I could make these with my stampers.  We made this one at our Monday Art Gallery Cards classes.

Isn't it fun??  Have a happy week of creative fun and thank you so much for visiting!!  Below you'll find a list of the products used for our projects!

CentreStage and Ain't We Got Cardmaking Fun!!??

Hello, Stampers!

We had a wonderful time at CentreStage and OnStage last week and I believe that I can speak for everyone by saying you are going to love the new Occassions and Sale-A-Bration 2017 products.  They are just beautiful and show wonderful planning and design on the part of the Stampin' Up staff!!

Thanks to ALL of you, I was surprised with all of the award ribbons that you see on my badge.  I'm pictured with Angie, who also achieved 100,000 Flex Points this year.  I also received an award for hitting the $100,000 total sales mark.  Sounds great but...there were Demonstrators that had earned $100,00 in just the past year.  I had better get busy!  LOL!!  One of the best parts about attending CentreStage and OnStage was getting to meet new stamping friends, like Angie, who gave me the prototype for the Double Z Fold card that we'll be making on Monday!!!  You will love it!!

We were right back to class on Monday and Wednesday and here are some of our creations!  I love the Candy Lane Designer Series Papers!  I've been using them for everything-2 Christmas cards, roommate gifts at CentreStage, and Downline Team Christmas gifts!  So fun!!

Which card is the Paper Pumpkin card?  Long story short, I created kits for my afternoon Gallery class that coordinated with the November Pumpkin kit.  The "real" card is on the left and the card on the right is the card that I replicated so that we could do the same projects in both classes. The third person to email the words candy cane will win a fun little something. It turned out great, thanks to the Paper Pumpkin kit including ink, adhesives, extra beads and sequins, Baker's Twine and the great idea!!

I FINALLY ordered the In the Meadow stamp set and we made the card below in Titusville on Wednesday.  (We'll also be making it in the Art Gallery Cards classes this coming Monday.  Confession:  I used my stash of Lost Lagoon cardstock (now retired--sniff!) to help to create a neutral/masculine birthday or greeting card.  We used blender pens to shade our doe and fawn. I case'd this card from Sage Kimble of stampingmadly.com  Of all the cards I saw online, I love hers the best so here it is!!

Visit my online store at http://www.reenathan.stampinup.net to shop for our top quality products.  You'll earn a Preferred Customer Point for each $50 online purchase and a bonus gift from me too!!  Be sure to email me when you order so that I can put your gift in the mail.  (This is in lieu of my local order shipping bonus for November :-)

Cardmaking Fun! Beautiful Cards For Christmas, Thanksgiving and More!

Hi, Stampers!

I hope you've had a wonderful week!  We've had a lot of stampin' going around here and I wanted to share some "eye candy" with you and to let you in on the latest specials!!

I case'd this card from one I saw on the internet.  It's similar but not exact and I apologize for not being able to give credit where it is due!!

I got to attend one of Oksana Semenska's fabulous workshops where we added pages and samples to our Techniques Book (I'll show you that wonderful album next time) and created 4 wonderful cards using those techniques.  Above you'll see the delightful favors she made for us.  You can see more of Oksana's beautiful work at
Oksana's Creative Corner at http://www.funstamper.com/

Here is another of Oksana's designs.  We used the Detailed Floral as a template and brayered the pretty colors!
So amazing!  I love this adorable step card.  Oksana's design, of course!! :-)
Here are the ornaments we made at the Art Gallery last week!

Here is the gold glittery Detailed Santa we made this past Monday.  Really quick, easy and it helped me to use up some of my stockpiled Washi Tape!  :-)  The inside is below:

Here is the copper Christmas card that we made last week.  Below is a card completely case'd from one of Oksana's workshop cards.  So pretty and simple!  Oksana used Night of Navy and Crushed Curry inks.  I tried to pull mine a little toward fall so that we could use it as a Thanksgiving card.

Coming November 1!!
